Reducing Social Isolation for Seniors

16 Jun Reducing Social Isolation for Seniors

The Provincial Government recently shared two toolkits that have been by the Federal, Provincial and Territorial Ministers Responsible for Seniors Forum, to support Canadians in addressing social isolation.  The Forum is an intergovernmental body established to share information, discuss new and emerging issues related to seniors and collaborate on key projects.

The first toolkit is titled Social Isolation of Seniors: Understanding the Issue and Finding Solutions and the second is an Ideas Exchange Event Toolkit.  These toolkits serve to raise awareness about social isolation among seniors, introduce useful concepts related to social innovation, show how social innovation can help to address social isolation and support the development of lasting community partnerships.
